We recently had the pleasure to host a collaboration workshop for the Digital Team at BMO (Bank of Montreal). Through a one-day interactive session, this talented group gained insights on how to amplify their creativity to foster innovation. I am always amazed at how quickly teams shift from ideation to action!
The goal of the experience was simple: to spark creativity, encourage bold thinking, and create space for collaborative problem-solving. From the moment we kicked off, the energy in the room was palpable. The team dove headfirst into hands-on exercises designed to challenge assumptions, and explore new ways of working and thinking together.
What stood out most was the willingness of everyone to engage fully—not just in generating ideas, but in building on each other’s thoughts. True innovation rarely happens in isolation. It emerges when diverse perspectives come together, friction is embraced, and ideas are iterated in real time. The BMO team exemplified this beautifully.
We also explored tools and mindsets that support sustainable collaboration, such as inclusive brainstorming and experimentation. These aren’t just workshop tactics, they’re capabilities that, when embedded into a team’s culture, lead to long-term impact. Team coaching sessions like these remind me of the power of intentional collaboration. When the right environment is created where psychological safety, curiosity, and trust are present, teams unlock incredible potential.
Huge thanks again to the BMO Digital team for being such active participants. Your openness, collaboration, and commitment to pushing boundaries made this session a true success. I’m excited to see how the seeds planted in this workshop grow into real innovation in the months ahead!
